Rotten Tomatoes Score Generator

The Rotten Tomatoes Score Generator recreates the current rottentomatoes.com movie and TV page as it appears on a phone: the red header, the trailer-still hero with its play button, runtime pill and poster, and the grey scorecard with the Tomatometer and Popcornmeter side by side. Below it sit the synopsis, the US Fandango row, the section tabs, Where To Watch and the What To Know critics consensus. The score badges are RT's own artwork and switch automatically at the real thresholds: a red tomato at 60% or more, a green splat below it, Certified Fresh and Verified Hot when the rules allow, and grey - - placeholders for unreleased titles. Everything renders in your browser and exports as a high-resolution PNG, with no account and no uploads.

Title

The hero meta line follows the live format: props with commas, then the first genre.

Live formats: 2025, Now Playing, In Theaters Dec 18, 2022 - 2026, 2025 - Present, Apr 2025. Empty fields are dropped.

Trailer still & poster

The 200px hero shows the trailer still under a wash of its average colour.

Trailer still
auto

Without a poster, a 2:3 key-art poster is generated from the still and title. Removing the still gives RT's flat #333E49 no-image hero.

Auto: hsl(28, 54%, 15%)

Tomatometer

Icon: Certified Fresh badge. 60% and up is Fresh; below is Rotten. Leave the score empty for "- -".

This score and review count would earn Certified Fresh (75%+, 80+ reviews wide / 40 limited / 20 per TV season).

Popcornmeter

Icon: Verified Hot badge. 60% and up is Hot; below tips the bucket over (Stale).

Earned: 90%+ from verified ratings (500+ wide release, 250+ limited).

Synopsis & What To Know

Wrap a title in *asterisks* to italicise it, like RT's <em> titles.

Affiliate row (US)

US visitors see this Fandango / streamer row at the bottom of the scorecard.

Where To Watch

Up to 4 bubbles (a 4th is clipped, like the live carousel). The sentence is rebuilt from the tiles.

Rotten Tomatoes Score Generator features

Badges that follow RT's real rules

A Tomatometer of 60% or more shows the Fresh tomato and anything lower shows the Rotten splat. The Popcornmeter flips between the upright bucket and the tipped-over one at the same line. Certified Fresh is kept down to 70%, and Verified Hot needs verified ratings on a movie and is kept down to 80%.

Movie, theatrical, unreleased and TV pages

Switch between a streaming movie, a Now Playing release with Buy Tickets, an unreleased title with empty - - scores, a TV series with Avg. Tomatometer labels, or a TV season page with the Series Page and Season bar.

Real rating bands and review counts

Pick from RT's full ratings ladder, from 50+ to 250,000+, choose Verified Ratings or all Ratings, or use the Fewer than 50 Ratings state. Counts truncate with an ellipsis exactly where the live scorecard cuts them off.

Critics Consensus and Where To Watch

Write the Critics Consensus and Audience Says blurbs with italic titles, and add streaming bubbles for Fandango, HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, Apple TV and more. The affiliate sentence is built for you in RT's own wording.

Your own still and poster

Upload and crop a trailer still and a 2:3 poster. The hero wash is taken from the still's average colour, as RT does, and you can set it by hand if you prefer.

Pixel-matched, high-resolution PNG

Every size, colour and gap was measured from the live site at iPhone width. The page is captured at that 390px width and exported as a sharp PNG ready for posts, thumbnails and slides.

How to make a rotten tomatoes score mockup

  1. 1

    Choose the page type

Pick a movie, a film now in theaters, an unreleased title, a TV series or a TV season, then enter the title, rating, year, runtime and genre.

  2. 2

    Add the still and poster

Upload and crop a trailer still for the hero and, optionally, a 2:3 poster. Otherwise a poster is generated from the still.

  3. 3

    Set the scores

Enter the Tomatometer and review count and the Popcornmeter and ratings band, then turn on Certified Fresh or Verified Hot where the score allows it.

  4. 4

    Write the copy and export

Edit the synopsis and critics consensus, choose the affiliate row, tabs and Where To Watch services, then export a high-resolution PNG.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Rotten Tomatoes Score Generator free?

Yes. It is completely free with no login, no account and no export limits. A Pro option removes the watermark and doubles the export resolution.

Is it legal to make a fake Rotten Tomatoes score?

Clearly fictional mockups are fine for memes, fan art, film-school projects, pitch decks and design work. Do not present a fake score as a real title's rating, use it to mislead audiences or advertisers, or misuse Rotten Tomatoes' trademarks.

When does the tomato turn into a green splat?

Rotten Tomatoes calls a title Fresh at 60% or higher and Rotten below 60%. The generator swaps the red tomato for the green splat at that line automatically, and the Popcornmeter tips its bucket over at the same 60% line.

How does Certified Fresh work?

On RT a movie earns Certified Fresh at 75% or more with enough reviews (80 for wide releases, 40 for limited) and keeps it until it drops below 70%. The generator lets you turn the badge on from 70% up. TV series never show it, because only individual seasons can earn it.

What is Verified Hot?

Verified Hot is the Popcornmeter's top badge, introduced in 2024. It is earned at 90% or more from ticket-verified ratings and kept down to 80%. The generator only shows it when Verified Ratings is on for a movie and the score is 80% or higher.

Does Rotten Tomatoes have a dark mode?

No. rottentomatoes.com renders the same light page whatever your system setting, so the generator matches that single light theme.
