YouTube Shorts Generator
The YouTube Shorts Generator recreates the full-screen Shorts player from the current YouTube app: the video frame with its soft top and bottom shading, the search and more buttons, the right-hand rail with the heart and like count, comments, Share, Remix and the white-outlined sound tile, the channel row with avatar, @handle and Subscribe pill, the one-line title with bold hashtags, the swipeable sound and related-video chips, the thin red progress line and the bottom tab bar with Home, Shorts, the + button, Subscriptions and You. Upload your own video frame, switch between iPhone, Android and the mobile website, or export just the 9:16 video surface. Download a crisp, high-resolution PNG. Everything runs in your browser, with no account and no uploads.
Video frame

Upload a screenshot of your video — any aspect works. Vertical 9:16 frames fill the screen like the real player.
Channel

Title
46 / 100 · #hashtags and @mentions render bold. One line, truncated with … like the app.
Action rail
Type counts as they appear: 1,532 · 38K · 1.2M (newer app builds use a lowercase k). Leave likes empty for a hidden count ("Like"). Newer iOS builds show a remix count instead of "Remix" — set it under Interface text.

Original sounds show the creator's avatar; licensed tracks show cover art.

YouTube Shorts Generator features
The 2026 Shorts player, icon for icon
Built with YouTube's own heart, comment, share, remix, search and tab-bar glyphs, Roboto type and the exact spacing of the action rail, metapanel, chips and tab bar.
Your video frame and channel
Upload any screenshot as the video frame, crop your channel avatar, sound cover and viewer photo, and set the handle, title and like and comment counts exactly as you want them to read.
Chips, search pill and comment bar
Add up to three sound, related-video or AI-label chips, a suggested search, product or link pill above the channel row, and the Comment... bar with emoji reactions.
Heart or classic thumbs rail
Use the current heart rail without a dislike button, or switch to the classic thumbs up and Dislike layout. Mark the Short as liked, hide the Share label or remove Remix.
iPhone, Android, mobile web and 9:16
Pick the iPhone or Android app with status bar and tab bar, the m.youtube.com player with the YouTube wordmark, or a bare 9:16 frame sized for Stories, then export a sharp PNG.

- 4

Frequently asked questions
Is the YouTube Shorts Generator free?
Yes. It is completely free with no login, no account and no export limits. A Pro option removes the watermark and doubles the export resolution.
Is it legal to make a fake YouTube Shorts screenshot?
Clearly fictional mockups are fine for memes, pitch decks, design comps, thumbnails, teaching and storytelling. Don't use one to fake a creator's stats, impersonate a real channel or mislead people, and respect YouTube's trademarks.
Why is there a heart instead of a thumbs up?
In June 2026 YouTube replaced the Shorts like button with a heart and removed the dislike button. The generator shows that current design by default, and the classic rail with thumbs up and Dislike is one click away.
Can I use my own video?
Yes. Upload a screenshot of any moment from your Short and it fills the screen like the real player. Vertical 9:16 frames fit perfectly, and other shapes can be cropped to fill or letterboxed.
Can I export a 9:16 image for Stories or Reels?
Yes. Switch the frame to 9:16 video only to drop the status bar and tab bar and export just the Shorts surface, which lines up exactly with 1080 × 1920 Stories.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The generator runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser, so you can build and download a YouTube Shorts mockup straight from your phone.
